The Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that they have decided to establish a new bilateral visa exemption agreement which would apply from March 1st 2019 until March 31st 2025.

Getting a New Zealand Visa for Lithuania Citizens

Requirements for a visa include a passport valid for at least six months after your planned departure from Lithuania, as well as proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay in New Zealand. You will also need to provide your passport photo, an application form, and the required fees. Upon submitting your application, you will receive a visa decision within 10 working days. If you are a Lithuanian citizen and would like to visit or stay in New Zealand, you can apply for a visa through the New Zealand Embassy in Vilnius. The visa application process is straightforward and takes about two weeks. The required documents include your passport valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay in New Zealand, a return ticket, proof of funds sufficient to cover your expenses during your stay, and a letter of invitation from someone who knows you and can vouch for your character.
Please note that New Zealand has a strict no-fly policy for citizens of Lithuania, Belarus, Cuba, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and Zimbabwe.
If you are planning on travelling to New Zealand and want to stay for more than three months, you will need a visa.
