What are the New Zealand Visa Requirements for Canadian Citizens?
If you are a Canadian citizen and you want to visit or stay in New Zealand for longer than three months, then you will need to apply for a visa. You can apply online at the New Zealand Visa website, or you can go to one of the visa offices in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, or Queenstown. The application process is fairly straightforward and is based on the applicant’s nationality and reason for visiting/staying in New Zealand. First, you will need to provide your passport valid for at least six months after the date of your planned departure from Canada. Second, you will need to provide evidence that you have enough money to cover your stay in New Zealand. Third, you will need to provide evidence that you are not carrying any diseases that could be harmful to people in New Zealand. This can be either a medical certificate or letter from your doctor stating that you are free of any diseases that could be harmful to people in New Zealand. To apply for an NZ visa, you need to meet the following requirements:
-Be a citizen of a country that is a member of the New Zealand Visa Waiver Program. Note that citizens of Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Brunei, Canada, the Cook Islands, Fiji, Ireland, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, South Africa, the United States of America and Uruguay are not eligible to use the New Zealand Visa Waiver Program.
-Be travelling for tourism or business purposes only. You cannot use your NZ visa to work or study in NZ.
-Have a passport that is valid for at least six months after your planned leave from NZ.
-Meet one of the following requirements: have a confirmed air ticket out of NZ within 14 days of application; have enough money to cover your costs while in NZ (at least $500 if you are staying single or $1,000 if you are staying in a group); have valid travel insurance; have a valid passport photo.

The visa requirements for Canadian citizens and Hong Kong residents vary depending on your nationality. If you are a Canadian citizen, you will need to submit a visa application form and supporting documents. You will also need to pay the visa fee.
If you are a Hong Kong resident, you will only need to submit a visa application form. You will not need to provide any supporting documents or pay the visa fee.
